Jász Laci's "Setting Sun" is a rare blend of native varietals from Somló: Juhfark, Furmint, Sárfefér, Gohér, Járdovány, Olaszrizling and Zőldszilváni.
Ripe guava and mango meet dried roses on the nose, with savory citrus, salt, herbs and golden apple on the palate. The volcanic terroir lends a touch of smoke to the finish.
Fermentation was spontaneous with native yeasts in stainless steel tank. The wine spent 4 months on the skins and remained on the lees until bottling. Unfiltered and unfined, no sulfur added.
