Harvested from Heitz's vineyards spanning six sub-appellations throughout the Napa Valley, the Cabernet Sauvignon offers a full composition of the breadth of Napa Valley as a whole.

Each vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is harvested from vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford, Howell Mountain, St. Helena, Oak Knoll, and Calistoga. Each vineyard lot is kept separate and unblended during fermentation and also while aging in French oak barrels. When decisions have been made to select the exceptional barrels of wine for Heitz's single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons, the remaining barrels are blended together to become our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The Napa Valley Cabernet spends another year in bottle before its release from our cellar.
