Château d'Agassac, Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux, France 2008

A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A super concentrated and expressive nose of spice and toasted chocolate, nodding to the warm vintage. After a good aeration the red fruit jamminess of this wine stands tall against the structure and toasted spice notes. The wine has rich and concentrated tannins and a supple palate of chocolate covered raspberry, caramel, and plum. This is a big wine with lots of punch and can be paired with a slow roasted leg of lamb.
