Montevertine, Sangiovese "Le Pergole Torte" Toscana IGT, Italy 2019 1.5L

Many consider Le Pergole Torte to be the single best expression of Sangiovese.

The first vintage released of Le Pergole Torte was the 1977. It was the first 100% Sangiovese wine to be produced in the Radda in Chianti area. The grapes come from Montevertine's oldest vineyards, planted between 1968 and 1999. It is aged for one year in Allier barriques and one year in Slavonian oak barrels.
