Graceful and light, this beautiful Oddero Barolo "Villero" shows notes of redcurrant, spice, and blue flower.

Oddero is one of the great, historic, traditional Barolo houses with a long history spanning over 200 years. The "Villero" bottling is sourced from the estate's 0.8 hectare parcel in the Villero cru in Castiglione Falletto. The soil is compact: mainly clay, with some limestone.

Grapes are hand-harvested from 50+ year old vines, and fermented and macerated in stainless steel for 25 days. The wine is then aged for 30 months in 40HL barrels. Bottled at the end of summer, it then spends one year in bottle before release.
