Perliñas is crafted from old vineyards in the Condado do Tea subzone of D.O. Rías Baixas. The southernmost subzone of the appellation, which is located on the banks of the Miño River just north of Portugal, Condado do Tea is the second oldest subzone in the D.O., and unlike other parts of the appellation, has a warmer continental climate and is not as focused on monovarietal wines as other parts of the D.O.

Here, due to the warmer conditions, the typically cool Rías Baixas and Atlantic weather combine with a warmer, continental climate producing a richer, textured style of Albariño that pairs beautifully with the appellation's typical salty minerality. Unlike many other wines from Condado, which tend to be blends of Albariño blended with other white grape varieties, Perliñas is 100% Albariño and spends a significant amount of time in tank ageing on the lees before release.
