Trousse-Chemise, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon 2022
Trousse-Chemise, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon 2022
Fruit for this cool climate bottle of Pinot Noir from Trousse-Chemise hails from high-elevation vineyards, which helps preserve natural acidity within the grapes. Wildly aromatic and bursting with an intense, berried up fruitiness — when people compare Oregon as the closest thing to Burgundy in America, this is what they are talking about. Juicy and vibrant, with expressive aromatics.
Anne Sery, a native of Réunion Island, brings a unique blend of Burgundian tradition and Oregonian innovation to Trousse-Chemise Cellars in Willamette Valley. Trained in the vineyards of Hubert and Francoise Lignier in Burgundy and educated under famed oenologist Denis Debourdieu, Anne has a deep understanding of terroir and wine-making. She arrived in Oregon in the mid-2000s, drawn to Willamette Valley's burgeoning Pinot Noir scene and its collaborative community. Her approach to wine-making is a harmonious blend of Old World elegance and New World experimentation, always aiming to craft wines that authentically "taste like Oregon."
